If monitoring functionality is employed in Satellite, it is disabled by using the following procedure:

1. Find and disable Monitoring and MonitoringScout.

# nd /etc/rc.d/rc*.d -name ‘*Monitor*’ -exec unlink {} \;

Conrm /rhnsat and /var/satellite mount points are not automatically mounted, by verifying contents of /

etc/fstab.

It is also necessary to release shared resources from node 1.

1. Release shared IP address.

# ip addr del 192.168.1.30/24 dev bond0
