Pramati Server 3.0 Installation Guide

There are two steps involved in silently installing Server - Generating an

XML file, and then using this file to silently install Server. Follow the

given instructions to generate the XML file:

1 Download the installation file PServer30.jar from http://

www.pramati.com to your local directory.

2 Log in as an user with administration privileges.

3 If you are installing from the CD, insert the CD in the CD-ROM

drive. Mount the CD ROM drive, if required.

4 Go to directory where the installation file is located.

5 The XML file can be either generated using -genXml option, at the

command prompt or by manually creating the file and saving it in the

appropriate location.

6 To use the command prompt option, enter java -jar

PServer30.jar -genXml stu_template.xml

at the command

prompt, where stu_template is the name of the XML file. This pops

up the Installation Wizard, and the user enters all the required fields in

the panels that come up. After the installation is complete, the XML

file is generated in the current directory.

7 To generate the XML file manually, copy the given sample lines of

code in the template XML file, edit is with your values, and then save

it in the current directory.
