Method for Using HTTP Tunneling with IJServer
(Contains Web Applications Only)
HTTP tunneling can be used with IJServer only when IJServer is ‘Web Applications Only’ type. To use
HTTP tunneling with web applications, HTTP tunneling parameters must be passed to the
CORBA_ORB_init() function. However, when the web applications use JNDI, a gateway for processing
HTTP tunneling must also be specified using HTTPGW of the JNDI environment property.
For more information about the HTTP tunneling parameters to be passed to the CORBA_ORB_init()
function, refer to HTTP Tunneling in Chapter 4.
The environment property specifies the gateway using either of the following methods.
1. The FJjndi.properties file
The FJjndi.properties file must be placed in the following location:
C:\Interstage\J2EE\etc
/etc/opt/FJSVj2ee/etc
/etc/opt/FJSVj2ee/etc
2. Set up the JavaVM option of IJServer
This is set up using the Interstage Management Console.
If a duplicate environment property is specified, the second method ‘Set up the JavaVM option of
IJServer is effective.
Environment property strings are case-sensitive.
The environment property in which the gateway is specified is shown in Table 5-2.
