Chapter 8: Setting and Use of the Certificate/Key Management Environment Using the SMEE Command
8-12
Obtaining the Client Certificate
To obtain a client certificate, ask the Certification Authority to issue the certificate. The client certificates
that Web Server can use are those issued by VeriSign Inc.
For issuance of client certificates by VeriSign Inc., refer to the companies listed in Figure 8-3.
Figure 8-3 Issuance of Client Certificates
Registering the Client Certificate
Register the root certificate (CA certificate) of VeriSign Inc. when setting up the certificate/key
management environment.
Example
cmsetenv d:\sslenv\sslcert -sd d:\sslenv\slot -jc 0 -rc
C:\INTERSTAGE\IS_cert\contractcertlist
cmsetenv /export/home/sslcert -sd /export/home/slot -jc 0 -rc
etc/opt/FJSVisas\contractcertlist
For command details, refer to the Reference Manual (Command Edition).
Resource Registration
When changing the SSL library to be used from SMEE2 to SMEE3, the existing certificate/key
management environment can be used as it is.
However, to use the UTF-8 certificate, migration of the certificate/key management environment is
required.
For the migration of the certificate/key management environment, create pfx data from existing resources
and then register the pfx data in the new environment.
